I've been a researcher in computer science since my last year of the undergraduation course. I participated on projects in different fields, including Distance Learning, Virtual Reality, High Performance Computing at the CPAD - PUCRS/Hewlett-Packard Research Lab, Natural Language Processing and Information Retrieval.
Nowdays, my research interests cover two broad areas: Computational Linguistics and Information Retrieval. My PhD research focuses in finding an optimal method to perform the mining of documents for the answer extraction component of question answering systems.
