Welcome to the homepage of Marc Tilbrook

Hello, my name is Marc Tilbrook. I am currently working as a Research Programmer at the Centre for Language Technology at Macquarie University.

Between January and May 2002 I was working on the KELP project. I was part of the initial Kelp Summer team, which laid much of the groundwork for the following installment of Kelp Autumn. For an overview of what Kelp is all about click here.

In the later part of 2002 I spent some time working on a project involving information extraction from corporate documents.

In 2003 I worked on the SnipIt project with Robert Dale. SnipIt is a personal productivity tool that illustrates some practical uses for language technology.

In 2004 I spent most of my time working on the Peng project with Rolf Schwitter. In May 2004 I presented a paper on the project at the LENLS workhop in Kanazawa, Japan. I also did some more work with Robert Dale, this time on the GainSpring project.

In 2005 I continued my work on the Peng project.

In 2006 the Peng project moved to the web. The Peng Editor is now available online here.
