About me
In February 2008 I joined Department of Mathematics of Technical University of Denmark to work there as a postdoctoral researcher. You can visit my new home page there.
Between August 2007 and February 2008 I was employed as a research fellow in Department of Computing, Macquarie University. I belonged to the Centre for Advanced Computing - Algorithms and Cryptography, (ACAC). I was working mainly on the analysis of cryptographic hash functions.
On 13/12/2007 Academic Senate decided to award me the degree of Doctor of Philosophy. My thesis is available online.
On 9/08/2007 I submitted my PhD thesis "Analysis of modern dedicated cryptographic hash functions" I was supervised by Josef Pieprzyk and Huaxiong Wang. My PhD research in Australia was possible thanks to the iMURS scholarship.
Before coming to Australia I was employed as a research assistant in Department of Mathematics of Catholic University of Lublin for 1.5 years. I obtained my BSc. and MSc. degrees (combined) in mathematics from that university in 2002.
Research interests
My research interests concentrate on mathematical methods of analysis of cryptographic primitives. I'm particularly interested in new mathematical models and tools facilitating analysis of cryptographic hash functions as well as in the complementary issue of designing hash functions that have some security guarantees bases on hard computational problems.
Apart from cryptanalysis, I'm also interested in broader problems of practical computer security.
