Division of Information and Communication Sciences

Waivers & Third Time Permission

How to Apply

Applications for a waiver to enter a unit run by the Division of Information and Communication Sciences must comply with the Division's Standing Policy on Waiver Applications.

You can submit your application for Semester 2, 2008 units after your results have been released for Semester 1, 2008. The deadline for applications is 5:00pm Thursday 14 August 2008.

To apply, submit your completed application form in the box provided on Level 1 in E6A, or at the Student Services Office in E6A202.

It is your responsibility to ensure your application is complete with a copy of your latest (unofficial) academic transcript and relevent documents when you submit it. Please obtain a proper unoffical transcript, do not just print one from eStudent. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Incomplete applications will be automatically rejected.

Third Time (or more) Permission for all Units no longer require a form, simply add the unit at enrolment.

NOTE : The Division of ICS reserves the right to withdraw a student from a unit if they have attempted it twice before (or more) (refer Bachelor Degree Rule 16). You will be contacted if this is to be the case.

How to Find the Decision

Waiver decisions are currently posted on this web site in PDF format above and listed by Department, Unit and Student ID. If you have submitted more than one application, you may need to check back again until all the decisions regarding your applications have been made.

A printed list of waiver decisions will also be posted in the glass case noticeboards on Level 1 and Level 3 in Building E6A.

Remember - If you are unsure of your waiver decision or have a query, please contact Student Services
