Setting up a Scholarship

To set up a scholarship from a research grant, please list the Conditions of Award (see Standard Conditions of Award) and forward them to the Postgraduate Research Administrator. Once the Dean has approved the conditions of scholarship, they will be sent to the Research Office for checking against the grant budget conditions. Once this is done, the HDRC approves the scholarship conditions and advertises the scholarship on the HDRU website.

There is a limited number of top-up scholarships funded by the Division. These are awarded to successful APA applicants who have also received a ranking of at least M5. The top-up scholarships are for a duration of 3 years. The scholarship top-up will not be extended for any student applying for a scholarship extension after the 14th February 2006.
