Postgraduate Research - ICT (CSIRO / ICS) Scholarships

Scholarships are available for PhD project topics of common interest to the CSIRO and the Division of ICS. Although these scholarships are primarily targeted for domestic students, in special circumstances applications from international students will be considered in research areas where there is a national shortage (as determined by CSIRO).

This recent offering comprises several top-up scholarships (to a base University or Government scholarship). Each top-up scholarship will be between $7,000 and $12,000 based on the applicant's qualifications and suitability for project area. A base scholarship may be awarded to applicants of exceptional promise. Students should seek more information about this from ICS Student Services (02) 9850 9500.

The above scholarships are available to successful scholarship applicants with excellent academic standing and are subject to CSIRO approval.

The range of projects is not limited to those in the linked document. Other project topics could be considered, but must be of common interest to the CSIRO and the Division of ICS and would also be dependent on the availability of supervision in the CSIRO and Macquarie University. If you wish to propose a different topic, please include a project description with your enquiry.

The Scholarship Contract is available from ICS Student Services.

To apply, contact Student Services outlining your area of interest. Your application will be referred to a potential supervisor at Macquarie University who will then contact you. Further enquiries should be directed to Postgraduate Research.
