Title: Sentiment-bearing words: annotation issues and prediction
Speaker: Mary Gardiner

The focus of my PhD research is on sentiment-bearing words and phrases and
how the correct choice can be made among them to suit the sentiment of text.

In this talk I will briefly review my previous experiments testing whether
closely related words that differ in attitude behave differently when I
attempt to use the context to choose the correct word. The main part of my
talk will review annotation and experiment design issues for follow-up
experiments testing whether the sentiment of a document significantly
influences word choice.
