Title: Interpretation of Weekday Names
Speaker: Pawel Mazur

In the main part of my talk I will present the work on which I was focused
in February and March and which resulted in submitting a paper to Coling. We
(me and Robert Dale) have studied the problem of weekday name interpretation
and evaluated a number of heuristics (some of which are reimplementations of
methods presented in the literature) and proposed a hybrid method which
outperformed all tested algorithms on the ACE 2005 training corpus (which is
the largest available corpora with temporal expressions annotated).

If time permits I will also tell you about my PhD project which is "Tracking
entities across time in collections of documents".
