Title: Choosing Content for Novel Sentence Generation
Speaker: Stephen Wan
Abstract:
In this talk, I will present recent work on selecting content (words and
phrases) from a set of input sentences in order to construct a single
sentence as a summary.

Title: Lexical resources annotated with sentiment data
Speaker: Mary Gardiner
In this talk I will examine three lexical resources tagged with sentiment
data; both words with positive and negative associations and other kinds of
affect and some of the sentiment analysis applications they have been used
in. This is some of the background work for upcoming experiments in
sentiment charged paraphrasing.
The three lexicons I will discuss are the General Inquirer lexicon, the
WordnetAffect extension to WordNet, and the SentiWordNet lexicon.
