Title: Named Entity Recognition for Question Answering
Speaker: Diego Molla Aliod

Abstract:

  In this talk I'll present the latest developments of AFNER, the
  named entity recogniser that we are developing for question
  answering. Much of the talk will be based on the upcoming PACLING
  paper where Menno van Zaanen and I report on some experiments of
  AFNER within the context of question answering.

  Time permitting I'll present the experiments that Steve Cassidy,
  Menno van Zaanen and I did for the participation in the CLEF track
  of question answering on speech transcripts. We are still waiting
  for the official results but I can present our unofficial ones based
  on data from last year.
