Instead of our regular Monday seminar, we will be having an informal demo of
Fast ESP 5.0. It probably won't go for the usual 90 minutes.

Fast ESP 5.0 is a commercial indexing and search tool.  The enterprise
search platform is a production-quality resource that is widely used
in industry, and we are using it for a demo we are developing for the
CMCRC.  It is highly configurable, can read XML files, uses named
entity recognition and is indeed very fast.

Robert is currently looking at arranging an academic research licence
so that we can use it for other projects here.  This demo is for those
interested in learning more to see how it works: indexing, searching
and beyond.  The demo is informal, so just come along at 11 with any
queries you may have about the system.
