Title: Towards a Theory of Error Recognition and Repair

Abstract:
This presentation focuses on two aspect of my work towards a
theory of error recognition and repair:

* a report on my findings concerning user behavior under error
  conditions in cooperative dialogue, and

* speculations on a domain independent technique for reassessing
  n-best lists.
