Title: Cross-document Co-reference of Company Names

Abstract:
I will introduce my work on Cross-document Co-reference of Company
Names. Cross-document Co-reference occurs when the same person, event,
or concept is discussed in more than one text source. It helps break
"the document boundary" by allowing a user to examine information about
a particular entity or event from multiple text sources at the same
time. My work is realized on the basis of my former work on Named Entity
Recognition (NER) and Within-document Co-reference. The research was
focused on data from 2003 ASX announcement. We build contexts for a
company name in different documents and decide whether the names
appearing in different documents are referring to the same entity in the
world by comparing these contexts.
