About The Australian Category Seminar

The Australian Category Seminar meets each Wednesday afternoon, usually at Macquarie University. Each week two speakers give one hour talks on a topic of their choosing, and questions, more often than not, follow. In the hour before the seminar we usually walk to the Macquarie University Staff Club and tuck into a nice lunch (free to the speakers of the day as a token of our gratitude). The seminar regulars are comprised of staff and students from: Macquarie University, The University of Sydney, The University of Western Sydney, The University of Technology, Sydney. In addition to the regular participants we frequently have visitors from other parts of Australia and from across the world. To post a message to all the list members, send an email to cat-seminar@science.mq.edu.au. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.

Subscribing to "cat-seminar"

You can subscribe to the Australian Category Seminar mailing list by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
