2002 IT cadetships

Industry@ICS - Education

Through our Partnerships in Education program, organisations are invited to participate in programs aimed at enriching the educational experience and opportunity for students at Macquarie University.

Undergraduate Projects are undertaken by honours students, and by 3rd year BTech, BCompSci and Optoelectronics students. The project is provided and over-seen by the company, and gives students the opportunity to participate in and gain industry experience.

Support current and prospective students through undergraduate Prizes & Scholarships. In 2001, Compuware and Macquarie University offered a number of Undergraduate Scholarships in Computing - each worth A$5,000.

Provide invaluable Work Experience to undergraduate Vacation Students or sponsor an Internship or Cadetship program for our graduates. In 2001, Sun Microsystems, Cisco Systems Australia, Novell and Compuware each offered a cadetship program for our top IT graduates.

Become a partner in providing International Internships for study abroad and exchange students at Macquarie University.

Postgraduate Projects which can be funded through the ARC Linkage Grants scheme, provide an opportunity for higher-degree students to work on research and development initiatives.

The Division of Information and Communication Sciences has established the Postgraduate Professional Development Program to increase the relevance of its postgraduate education to the changing needs of professionals and industry in the disciplines of Computing, Electronics, Mathematics, and Physics.
