Ros Ballantyne is a lecturer in the Department of Computing, Division of ICS, Macquarie University. She completed her B.Sc. in Computer Science from University of NSW. She also studied at University of Western Australia and Melbourne University Ros completed an MSc in Computing research at Macquarie University after years of dabbling in an assortment of topics. The thesis is entitled "Markov Algorithms, Pseudofunctions and Semantics" and is most notable for the sparsity of category theory, the tasteful purple binding and the length of time to produce it. Ros has been responsible for the design and development of many of the computing science units including versions of COMP115, COMP125, COMP225, COMP332 and COMP444. Ros is a member of the SIGCSE (Special Interest Group in Computer Science Education) of the ACM. Her interests include syllabus development, functional programming, system specification and verification using B methodology, and the development of online testing programs. |
