Leonard G. C. Hamey is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computing at Macquarie University. His research interests centre on artificial neural networks and computer vision (publications). Len heads the Neural and Vision Systems Group and is a task leader in the CRC for International Food Manufacture and Packaging Science. Dr. Hamey received his BSc(hons) in Statistics from Macquarie University in 1982 and his PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University in 1988. He is a member of IEEE and the Australian Pattern Recognition Society. Besides his professional involvements, Len is a Christian and active in his local church.
