Glenn graduated from Sydney University in 1960 with a BSc (Mathematics) DipEd and taught mathematics in high schools in the Sydney region for 9 years. Commencing a MSc (Mathematics) at Macquarie University in 1967 he then joined the staff of that university in 1969. A PhD (Mathematical Modelling of the Dispersion of Air Pollutants over Urban Areas) was completed in the School of Earth Sciences in 1980. Now in the Department of Computing he continues to have interests in modelling, particularly related to city climates. In this work he has gained experience in using supercomputers and in visualisation to aid the understanding of model output. His teaching interests range from Information Technology for non-specialists to Computational Science and Computer Graphics.
