Bernard is Head of Department, for the Department of Computing which he joined in 1997. In 2003, while on leave, he was the HITACHI-INRIA Chair 2003 at INRIA, France. Bernard's research interests centre on algorithms and graphs for distributed computing and wireless networks (see Publications and Competitive External Research Grants). Bernard is the Foundation Member with Igor Shparlinski of the Algorithms and Complexity research group at Macquarie University (which is now the Centre for Advanced Computing: Algorithms and Cryptography). Bernard Mans received his Magistere d'Informatique from University Rene Descartes, Paris 5, France in 1989. He received his D.E.A. de Systemes Informatiques and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from University Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris 6, (done at INRIA), France, respectively in 1989 and 1992. From 1992 to 1994, he was an International Postdoctoral Fellow visiting Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. From 1995 to 1997, he was Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science, at James Cook University, Australia. |
