Electrical testing for credit card purchases
All the order/credit card purchased items placed by Division Admin Office will be arranged by us to have the electrical testing done by METS before collection by the Users. The exception is the bulky equipment which will be booked by us to METS. The user is to advise METS once the equipment is being ready in the Lab for electrical testing. All tested Electrical Equipment will be labelled with a passed/failed tag by METS.
For the goods purchased by the other Credit Card Holders, please arrange with METS directly for electrical testing if they are electrical items. Even though your credit card purchases delivery point is at our Office E6A Room 202, there are chances that the contents of the parcel is not known to us and may miss the test. So please check all your credit card purchases on electrical items if the METS electrical testing tags are there.
To arrange the electrical testing, you can simply send this e-mail (etest@ics.mq.edu.au) to METS or bring the parcel over to Electronics Workshop at E6A Room 224, and they will arrange the job to be done for you.
The new procedures are to ensure all items in the Division have passed the electrical tests and safe to use.

Promoting our scientific strength on the web
At present the College of Science and Technology does not have a presence on Macquarie University's website. To promote the full scope of our research and study options it is important that we build a science, engineering and technology profile.
I am currently in the initial stage of designing a web architecture to help position the College as the place to study science, engineering and technology. For the most part, the aim of the webpages is to consolidate information rather than add new content.
If you have any suggestions or would like to discuss the web presence please contact Rachel Lizk (x6045).
