A Note on Printing - Embed Unusual Fonts in Word:
This year the printers had some trouble with a number of the abstract submissions and it was discovered that when using the Microsoft Word template it is important that any non-standard fonts (for example, mathematical symbols or fonts not commonly found on all machines) are embedded into the Word document on saving. Otherwise the document is scrambled when printed (although it looks fine when displayed on your screen).
To correct this, the fonts have to be both identified and obtained by the printers (not always easy to do) or the document has to be resaved and resubmitted by the author.
Look for the "embed font" function in Microsoft Word.
