Tertiary Storage Arrangements

Tertiary storage facilities are available to a limited number of users depending on requirements and ownership or funding of the storage space.

Access to the storage facilities are by request to a group administrator / convener or email to help@ics.mq.edu.au. We will request approval from the appropriate people. Authorised users can access their storage as a network share.

Windows

My Computer\Tools\Map Network Drive and folder name:
\\ics\storage\<Storage Name>\<ICSID|share name>

Mac

Finder\Go\Connect to server and server address:
smb://<File Server>/share/<ICSID|share name>

Linux

Create an empty directory (e.g. mystorage) in your home directory which will be the mount point. Mount the share:
sudo mount -t smbfs -o username="ics\<ICSID>" //<File Server>/share ~/mystorage

These are shared storage servers and quotas are enforced. When users receive over quota limit warnings, start archiving files.
