The CLA forms a major part of Macquarie University's recently established Concentration of Research Excellence (CORE) in Lasers and Photonics.
The Lasers and Photonics CORE, based on an active group of researchers already at Macquarie University, aims to elevate the international standing of scientific and technological research in Lasers and Photonics that is already well established at Macquarie University, with particular emphasis on any or all of the following frontiers of optical science:
