Statistical tests of random sequences

In this talk, we describe in a coherent manner the link between the
different tools involved by the statistical test of randomness. We then
explain how to conduct such a test and underline a certain number of
misconception widely spread in the literature which can lead to
an improper use of such tests in cryptography undermining the quality of a random generator.
