We will recall the classical Gauss conjecture on number fields and what can be its analogue for function fields over finite fields. Then, we will consider a geometric point of view by the way of the zeta function of the curve associated to the functions fields. Finally, we will prove a necessary condition for the conjecture holds true using the zeta polynomial.
